December was a pretty good month, the ash and the oak are both dry and ready to use. We completed our first project, a coffee table. Also built a few cutting boards for the Christmas season!

ball is rolling...
Hello everybody,
There are a lot of new and exciting things that have been going on since the last post.
1st of all, we have built our own kiln based on the plans provided by a gentlemen named Darren from Illinois. ( http://www.woodworkingtalk.com/f23/small-wood-drying-kiln-plans-dry-your-own-lumber-3103/ )
For our first test run, we used the Ash, and after 2 months they have reached a moisture content of 8%! This is extremely good news, and we have started to actually use the Ash. Oak is now piled in and locked away for another few weeks!
We have also added to our arsenal and picked up a used 20" planner that is running great.
